The conditions that apply when you book travel services through us.
Our role
Heels on Wheels acts as a booking agent between you and the actual service providers — airlines, the Indian Railways, hotels, bus operators, transport companies and insurers. Their own terms, fare rules and conditions of carriage govern the service you receive, and we make those known to you before you confirm a booking.
Quotations
All quotes are indicative until a booking is confirmed and paid for. Airfares, hotel rates and package prices change constantly and are subject to availability at the time of confirmation. A quote is valid only for the period stated on it.
Payment
- Flight and train tickets are payable in full at the time of booking.
- Tour packages usually require an advance to confirm, with the balance due before the date stated in your itinerary.
- Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation and loss of the advance, as per the supplier’s policy.
- A receipt and a confirmed booking voucher is issued for every payment received.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation charges are set by the airline, railway, hotel or operator concerned, not by us. When you request a cancellation we tell you the exact charge that applies before anything is cancelled. Refunds are processed once the supplier releases the money to us, which commonly takes seven to twenty-one working days, and our service charge is non-refundable.
Documents and eligibility
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, visa, permits and any health or vaccination certificates required for your journey. Names on tickets must match your identity document exactly. We advise on requirements, but the final responsibility for travel eligibility rests with the traveller.
Visa applications
Visa decisions are made solely by the embassy or consulate concerned. Our assistance covers documentation and submission; no agent can guarantee approval, and visa fees and service charges are not refundable if an application is refused.
Changes beyond our control
Delays, cancellations, schedule changes, strikes, weather, natural events, road closures and government restrictions are outside our control. We will do everything practical to arrange alternatives, but we cannot be held liable for costs arising from such events.
Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the service you booked through us. We are not liable for personal injury, loss of baggage, delay or damage caused by a supplier — such claims lie with the supplier concerned and with your travel insurance. We strongly recommend travel insurance on every trip.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Indian courts.
